Each sachet contains 3 grams of carbohydrate, of which 1 gram is sugars, including 1 gram of organic cane sugar and 1 gram of organic honey powder (15 kcal per sachet). That small amount of carbohydrate is there because sodium and glucose are absorbed in the small intestine through the same transport protein.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhy the sodium is low\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eOne sachet provides 100 mg of sodium. That is deliberately restrained: many electrolyte powders aim at sweat replacement after hard efforts and sit several times higher. Daily Hydration is meant for everyday use, more than once a day if needed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhat is not in it\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNo magnesium. Momentous leaves it out because, in their account, it plays no part in the absorption of sodium and water in the gut, so they do not add it to make the label look fuller. No artificial sweeteners, colours or flavours either. Sweetness comes from Reb M, a steviol glycoside produced by fermentation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eFour flavours\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLemonade, Blood Orange, Grapefruit and Watermelon.
